This training is for new members of existing SAP core teams. It includes an overview of the new PA SAP model as it is defined in the Basic Education Circular; Drug and Alcohol Education, Counseling and Support Services; and the PA Training Standard and Competencies for Student Assistance Team Professionals.
This competency-based training incorporates written exercises, case studies, situational designs, role-play, and on-site competency assignments to prepare members to join and work successfully with their established school teams. Certificates and 30 Act 48 credit hours will be issued following the successful demonstration of an on-site competency assignment.
