Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. recognizes that nicotine is an addictive
drug, and addiction to nicotine causes health problems and death. The Council is
proud to be a provider of tobacco control services. Since 2001, The Council has
provided a variety of programs and services to reduce tobacco smoke pollution, support
tobacco-free workplaces, reduce youth access to tobacco, and aid those who wish
to quit. Our services are funded by the Health Promotion Council, Inc. and the Pennsylvania
Department of Health. Our services include:

Clean Air
For Healthy Children and Families – A smoking cessation counseling
training program targeted towards health care professionals who care for pregnant
women, mothers, care givers of young children, families, teens, and others.

information that helps smokers quit – Free to residents of
Bucks County, PA.

Tobacco Free
Worksites – Consultation and education for employers and employees
on tobacco-free living and tobacco free worksites.

Retail Tobacco
Sales Compliance Checks – Ongoing checks to ensure that merchants
do not sell tobacco products to those under the age of 18.

MOMS (Mothers
Overcoming Mood-Altering Substances) – An outreach program for pregnant
or recently pregnant women which supports alcohol, tobacco, and other drug-free
living.
