Held each October since 1991 in recognition of Red Ribbon Week, Pumpkinfest is the largest two-day drug and alcohol-free event of its kind in Pennsylvania, full of seasonal family fun. The Red Ribbon Week Campaign was developed in 1985 by the National Federation of Parents to encourage an annual renewal of the commitment to choose to live drug free. Pumpkinfeset is a cooperative effort of the Bucks County Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence and the Bucks County Department of Parks and Recreation. Pumpkinfest encourages community participation involving school , community and church groups, civic associations, businesses, other organizations and interested community members. Face and pumpkin painting, games, crafts, food, music and more theres something for everyone at Pumpkinfest!
Pumpkinfest activities take place at Fonthill Park, the site of two historic buildings the Moravian Pottery and Tile Works and Fonthill, Henry Mercers home. Both buildings feature unique architecture and construction and are two of the earliest poured-concrete structures in America.

One of the main attractions at Pumpkinfest is the Pumpkin Gallery. Area artists carve giant, 100-300 pound pumpkin squash into spectacular creations. By Saturday night, the carved pumpkins are illuminated and on display. Those who attend Pumpkinfest have the opportunity to vote on their favorite pumpkin as part of the Peoples Choice Awards and a panel of judges also presents awards.
Pumpkinfest has live entertainment including clowns, magicians, square dancers and musicians. There is also a petting zoo, hayride and giant, inflated rides. Youll enjoy funnel cakes, pumpkin pie, hoagies, turkey sandwiches and other delicious foods.
