PRO-ACT

The Council manages and operates the leading Driving Under the Influence (D.U.I.) program in the region. Under the guidance of trained professionals, The Council processes criminal justice system referrals with a variety of specialized courses and programs. The programs offer state-certified evaluations of a DUI offender’s alcohol-highway history and a pre-screening evaluation to support clinical decisions for the justice system.

A state-certified Alcohol Highway Safety School Program designed for first offenders is another component along with a 12-week DUI Intervention Program designed to intervene at the earliest opportunity. The Flat 48/72 Hour Program is also for first offenders. Finally, A DUI Out-Patient Treatment Program is offered for those offenders deemed appropriate through assessments.

Statistics for the Fiscal Year ended June 30, 2005
1,371 DUI evaluations
1,254 DUI class participants
956 Drug and Alcohol assessments
